That’s an interesting blog title, isn’t it? Hahaha! Well- their love story is interesting and fascinating as well! But before I share their story, I want to share with you my experience with this lovely couple! Kristin emailed me a few months ago about wanting pictures of her and her husband-to-be. They wouldn’t be engagement pictures really, and they weren’t wedding photos yet…somewhere in-between I guess! Kristin is visiting her fiance Johnathon all the way from Singapore and they tied the knot in the St. Augustine courthouse on Tuesday, but wanted pre-wedding pictures over the weekend…that’s where I came in! We chatted via e-mail back and forth for at least two months and then I finally got to meet them in person on Sunday! We decided on two locations: the Ormond Beach Public Library for more traditional wedding pictures, and then Standish Beach (you know…my favorite local beach!) for some more romantic and candid photos. They contacted Ashlee from Simply Roses to make a small bouquet and boutonniere and showed up looking fabulous! This session was chock-full of calm, romantic, intimate, relaxed and savored moments between this couple and it was such an honor to capture these photos for them! My time with them flew by and in between clicks on my camera, I got to ask them questions (like a hundred!) about their love story, their lives growing up before meeting each other, and plans for the future!
This is their story told by Johnathon:
“I am born and raised in Florida, and Kristin was born and raised in Singapore on the other side of the world. Kristin and I met online via online gaming. After getting to know each other over the course of a few months, we decided to evaluate what we had and decided that we were and had the potential to be so much more than friends. We decided to start dating Christmas of 2012 and I visited Singapore to meet her in person August of 2013. The first visit confirmed all that we knew about each other and so much more. Over the past few years and a few more visits we have continued to grow our relationship to now. Her visit to Florida this time has proven to be extra special as we have become man and wife! I will be moving to Singapore in the very near future to be with her and her family. The future is wide open and we are so looking forward to what it holds for us!”
